Upcoming Projects

We have a few things in the works right now! That I hope we can share with you all very soon!

Before I got pregnant, I was working on perfecting sourdough and normal bread making. With some guidance from the same friend who gave me some of her starter, I think I got pretty close!

While bread making (for normal bread) is very simple -- few ingredients, straightforward process -- sourdough is not that way. Its very fickle and requires lots of TLC and monitoring. I really struggled with this because I thought I was failing at something that should be so easy! So, if you're just getting into sourdough, please don't give up! It's much more complex and you are not a failure for learning the differences! I went through a LOT of dense loaves that had great flavor but just didn't have the texture I wanted. Sometimes they were wet gloppy messes that I couldn't shape or score. But I learned a few key things: your house temperature makes a big difference, the flour used makes a big difference, and the recipe used also makes a huge difference. Although this doesn't make a ton of sense to me scientifically, replicating another person's recipe doesn't always mean the result will be the same. Sourdough is not like a batch of muffins. I'm convinced there's some sort of voodoo magic happening that I can't pin down...

But more in that topic another time. I really came here to say that from all my failures in this endeavor I think I'm getting close to being able to release a new product: BREADS! And even possibly some gluten free things too... Shhhh!

The other thing that I'm just sticking my nose back into is paper goods like stickers and cards! We already have several logo vinyl stickers in the shop, but I have some more fun ideas to try and new methods to test out! Some of these test runs will be on our new re-released lemon curd jars!

For my sake, being able to make my own stickers, product labels, ingredients lists, info cards etc, is going to be a big deal! But for you... Hopefully some very cute new holiday cards this season as well as some smaller goodies, especially as the egg season winds down.

Stay tuned for updates! Love you all!
